Today was the day that I posted about Jack and to be honest, did very little. A bit of weeding, but pretty much that was it. I knew it would be a tough day when I โput it out thereโ and I wasnโt wrong.
I was overwhelmed and so very touched with all of the amazing and beautiful comments, messages and general love that was sent when I posted it. I snivelled a bit each and every time I read them. Thank you all so very, very much. ๐ ๐ I struggled to reply to them all and I hope you know that even if the reply you received appeared to be shorter than is my normal style ( ๐ ๐ ), that it wasnโt reflective of how much it meant to us. โค๏ธ
If there is one thing that has come out of all this โdamn bat flu plague apocalypseโ * then it has been the incredible sense of staying connected via my inane wafflings, โchattingโ with you all and feeling your love, support and friendship from afar. It really has been quite something and I donโt think I have the words to begin to cover it! ๐
*Shamelessly stolen from a friend’s utterly brilliant description.. thank you for the giggles on that one! ๐
So the weather was actually surprisingly sunny this morning, interspersed with clouds, so we said we would do just a couple of odds and sods and then relax. Somewhat predictably, at the exact time we set ourselves to stop and enjoy the sunshine, it all came to an abrupt end. ๐ The clouds had been building and then the storm came. Preceded by just the one sudden strong and fast blast of wind – which disappeared as quickly as it came – it heralded the beginning of the first thunderstorm weโve experienced in a long while. Time to head indoors for a lazy afternoon of reading, crocheting and generally lazing about. ๐
The temperatures are due to drop dramatically over night and the weather app says it will be 1 degree and raining.. hmm… could it be the kind of rain that falls as white? That would be amusing, given that we were boiling alive in 30+ degrees yesterday! ๐
Stay safe everyone xx
