Day 15 in the Big Bad Ischl House….

Probably as a result of our epic naps yesterday afternoon, we somewhat predictably didn’t sleep so well last night. Cue another cuppa on the balcony in the dead of night. 😬

I’ve said it before, but the very best part of writing these updates, is to read the lovely comments, news and thoughts that you are all kind enough to share. Thank you! What started as my attempt to record these times has ended up being a wonderfully eclectic community of chatter, mutual support, expressing of thoughts and humour and above all, a feeling of keeping in touch with what you are all doing, or thinking. It feels something like a good old catch up.. an easy chatter over a coffee or glass of something. I love it and it’s helping…more than you know. πŸ’• 😘

The snow was lightly falling on and off through the night and first thing this morning, there was a dusting laying on the ground. It hasn’t lasted, but there are still the odd flakes falling every now and then. Colder and a damper feeling in the air has given us a pretty lazy morning, a leisurely breakfast and a companionable lazing on the sofa. A little bit of crochet time for me, whilst listening to Michelle Obama’s audio book (highly recommended by the way, in case you were considering it) whilst Mark was reading his kindle in a more conventional manner. I’m probably driving him nuts with mine, but over the years he’s got pretty good at zoning me out when he needs to, so right now it might prove to be a handy skill for him to have acquired! πŸ˜†

To be honest with you, not a lot more was done in the afternoon either. A few busy days and a sleepless night and we’re both feeling like a slob-a-thon is in order today. I made a couple of cushion covers for the outdoor furniture which has largely been taken over by the canine contingent and consequently, now needs washing more often than it used to. πŸ™„ It’ll be much easier with removable covers. πŸ‘

Just when you think you’ve reduced the sewing to-do pile by a bit, you notice that Mark has sneaked in and quietly added a pair of trousers to the pile… back to square one again then πŸ™„ πŸ˜‚

A few more episodes of Outlander and β€˜dinner’ was a mixture of stuff that happened to be in the fridge and needed using up.. presented in a sort of lap tray finger buffet stylee. Quite nice it was too! 😁

Stay safe everyone xx

The best conditions are found on the upper slopes… πŸ˜‰
Intriguing…. the stripes are muck that was spread by the farmer a couple of days ago… clearly it holds snow depth better than the ground πŸ˜‚
Signs of life coming in the garden, I planted this last year, so really happy to see it doing so well 😁
More prettiness in the garden (also planted last year) πŸ‘
The boys out for a run in the parking area, they love it 😍
